The Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center (ACJIC) is located in Montgomery, Alabama.

Our office hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., CST. Our Command Center, which assists Alabama law enforcement agencies, operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It is important to note the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center cannot:

• eliminate or expunge accurate criminal records; or
• provide intervention, assistance, or legal advice to private citizens with pending legal matters, including arrests and/or incarcerations.

Concerns regarding arrests/incidents involving law enforcement officers should be directed to the chief executive officer (Sheriff and/or Chief of Police) of the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the area where the arrest and/or incident occurred.

Concerns regarding incarcerations should be directed to the chief executive officer of the particular correctional facility, or to the Alabama Department of Corrections (www.doc.alabama.gov) if the incarceration involves a prison operated by the State of Alabama.
